Guerrilla Marketing for HOA Management Companies
Guerrilla Marketing is one of the best (and cheapest) ways to boost marketing in HOA management companies.
Father of Guerrilla Marketing Jay Conrad Levinson (www.Gmarketing.com ) transformed how business owners thought of marketing when he made it cost effective for the small guy.
Well, let me tell you that in HOA Management all of us are "the small guy."
You see, only a few decades ago there were very few ways to advertise (TV, radio, billboards). Only huge companies like Proctor & Gamble could afford those.
Now, with today's level playing field we can all marketing our services (at dirt cheap prices!).
Here are just a few ways that I've used Guerrilla Marketing to grow my own HOA management company:
- Wearing polo shirts with HOA management company logo/brand
- Sending emails to all prior new client prospects announcing company news
- Sending out Press Releases to existing clients about new clients
- Taking a company-branded tent to tail gate at sporting events
- Placing car magnets on all employees' cars
- Putting 'how-to' videos on YouTube
- Signing up for Twitter and getting "followers"
- Signing up for Facebook and getting "friends"
- Posting a Survey on your company web site
- Get company branded pens and leave them at restaurants when you pay the bill
- Get company branded balloons filled with helium & place them near communities you want to manage
- Apply for community awards to get free press
- Have employees wear branded shirts/hats to a charity event (can also be a team building opportunity)
- Become a local HOA expert and tell media that you can help them by doing interviews
- Volunteer to teach HOA classes at local real estate schools
- Ask your existing vendors for HOA client referrals
- Place signs near street frontage of existing clients stating that your company manages that HOA
- Offer Board member training classes at your office
